Pakistan Test-Fires Taimoor Cruise Missile

(MENAFN) Pakistan's military successfully carried out a live-fire test of a domestically developed air-launched cruise missile on Tuesday, marking a pivotal advancement in the country's naval warfare capabilities.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media arm of the Pakistan Army, confirmed that the Pakistan Navy fired the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile — an advanced anti-ship system engineered to engage and destroy hostile vessels at extended operational ranges.

The missile delivered "exceptional precision" during the exercise, according to the ISPR statement, validating the navy's capacity to detect, engage, and neutralize sea-based threats with accuracy.

Defense officials characterized the test as a landmark leap in Pakistan's conventional military strength, reinforcing what they described as the country's multi-domain operational readiness — a strategic doctrine that spans land, sea, and air warfare environments.

The Pakistan military said the program reflects sustained national efforts to bolster maritime security and assert control over the country's sovereign territorial waters.

In the wake of the successful test, senior political and military figures extended congratulations to the scientists and engineers behind the missile program, hailing it as a defining moment in Pakistan's push toward self-reliant defense production, ISPR said.
